Cairo: Saudi Arabia and Egypt have solidified their transport cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in road transport. The agreement was inked by the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of the Transport General Authority (TGA) Saleh Al-Jasser, and Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing event was held during the regular session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport, chaired by Kuwait, in Cairo. The gathering saw the participation of transport ministers from various Arab countries.
The MoU seeks to bolster the exchange of expertise, experiences, and scientific and technical information between the two nations. It also emphasizes the importance of joint studies and research between the Saudi Roads General Authority (RGA) and Egypt's National Institute of Transport, with the ultimate goal of strengthening road transport cooperation.
