Arab Transport Ministers Council Meets in Cairo to Discuss Transformative Strategies

Cairo: The Council of Arab Ministers of Transport held its 38th session in Cairo on Monday, chaired by Kuwait and with the participation of Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Jasser delivered a speech during the meeting, emphasizing that the transport and logistics sector in Saudi Arabia is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, thanks to the strong support of the leadership.

He highlighted the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to solidify the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub connecting three continents and achieve sustainable development through infrastructure expansion, operational efficiency, adoption of modern technologies, and integration across various transport modes.

The transport sector in the Kingdom has achieved numerous national milestones, the minister noted, including the expansion of road and railway networks, modernization of ports and airports, enhancement of smart and sustainable transport services, and improvement of logistics efficiency through specialized initiatives. The efforts contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
