Saudi Arabia Advocates Peace and Justice at UN General Assembly: Foreign Minister’s Message

New york: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has declared that Saudi Arabia's participation in this year's High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York is focused on conveying a message of peace and justice.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized in his statement that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has historically been a leader in fostering peace and dialogue, starting from the era of its Founder and continuing through the reigns of its Kings, up to the current leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Kingdom has consistently prioritized laying the groundwork for peace and advocating for peaceful solutions on a global scale.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan reiterated that Saudi Arabia remains committed to establishing a just peace in the Middle East and globally, leveraging its role as a mediator in international conflicts. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, he noted that Saudi Arabia was a founding member of the UN in 1945 and has been actively involved in conflict resolution and peacemaking through mediation efforts. The Kingdom's balanced diplomatic relations have established it as a trusted international mediator.

He further emphasized Saudi Arabia's dedication to implementing the United Nations Charter by promoting respect for international law, maintaining global peace and security, and supporting multilateral international cooperation across various fields.

The minister highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and breaking the cycle of violence, confirming that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for Saudi Arabia in all international forums. He affirmed the Kingdom's determination to work towards a just solution that includes the establishment of an independent State of Palestine, ultimately leading to comprehensive and sustainable regional peace.
