London: Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pavilion at the 2026 London International Book Fair. He toured the pavilion, reviewing its sections and the cultural programs and activities it offers, reflecting Saudi Arabia's literary and cultural scene.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during his visit to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance's section, the ambassador received a briefing on its content and technical initiatives. These initiatives highlight the Kingdom's efforts in serving Islam and Muslims and promoting principles of moderation and balance. He reviewed publications from the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah, including copies of the Quran in various sizes and translations into multiple international languages. The section also displayed rare Islamic manuscripts, demonstrating the Kingdom's dedication to the Quran and Islamic heritage.
The Ambassador also explored several digital applications provided by the ministry, including Rushd and Al-Istishhad Al-Sahih, alongside interactive screens showcasing the ministry's initiatives and digital services. He experienced the virtual reality (VR) technology available at the section, allowing visitors to virtually tour the Two Holy Mosques and explore their interior and prominent landmarks, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to the holy sites through modern technological means.
At the end of his tour, Prince Abdullah praised the section for its knowledge-based and technological content, noting the ministry's efforts in conveying the Kingdom's message, preserving the Quran, and enhancing visitors' experiences while promoting Saudi Arabia's civilizational image.
