Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Highlights Importance of Makkah Route Initiative in Serving Pilgrims

Dhaka: Saudi Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah bin Abiyah affirmed the importance of the Makkah Route Initiative in facilitating pilgrims' procedures, currently in its sixth edition at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka to enable pilgrims to enter the Kingdom with ease.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ambassador stated that the Makkah Route Initiative represents a leading model of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, aimed at serving pilgrims and completing their travel procedures in their home country smoothly so they can perform Hajj with comfort. He added that the initiative conveys a message of security and reassurance for pilgrims, has proven its success and sustainability, and has become a model of integration among Saudi government entities in serving pilgrims with high efficiency and professionalism.

The ambassador commended the positive response to the initiative in Bangladesh, stressing that it has received significant engagement at both governmental and public levels, as well as on social media, reflecting the depth of bilateral relations and both sides' commitment to ensure its success. He affirmed the level of strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries to serve pilgrims and facilitate their travel procedures and Hajj rituals.
