Riyadh: Falconer Mousa Al-Shalawi won the international auction round in the Mathlouth gyr pure category of the Milwah Race at King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, the world's largest gathering of falcons.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Falcons Club set aside special rounds for auction falcons, helping boost the falcon market. Many falconers purchase their birds from the International Falcon Breeders Auction due to its competitive pricing. The first-place falcon, named G2, was acquired for SAR30,000 and went on to win a prize of SAR120,000.
