SAR Transports 1.2 Million Passengers on Haramain High Speed Railway during Ramadan at 99.5% Punctuality

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) announced the successful implementation of its operational plan for the holy month of Ramadan 1446 AH, achieving a notable 21% increase in passenger numbers compared to the previous year.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 1.2 million passengers were transported through 3,310 trips on the Haramain High Speed Railway, which links Makkah and Madinah with key stations in Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City. The daily passenger average during Ramadan reached 40,000.

The Haramain High Speed Railway achieved exceptional operational results in punctuality and safety during Ramadan, with an on-time performance rate of 99.5%. A record-breaking 48,000 passengers were transported on Ramadan 15.

This achievement underscores SAR's commitment to delivering high-quality transportation services, ensuring a seamless and safe travel experience for Umrah performers and visitors during the holy month.
