Riyadh: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) has opened registration for six specialized academic programs in collaboration with leading international universities and academies. These programs aim to preserve Saudi traditional arts, enhance their global presence, and support the Year of Saudi Handicrafts 2025, in line with the Kingdom's cultural development efforts.
According to Saudi Press Agency, registration began on July 13, 2025, via the official website https://wrth.edu.sa/programs/construction-diploma-program. Offered programs include master's degrees in Traditional Furniture Design, Costume Design for Performances, Museums and Exhibitions Curation, and Digital Heritage. Additionally, there is a higher diploma in Traditional Product Development and an intermediate diploma in Choreography.
Programs range from one to two academic years and are conducted in person at Wrth's Riyadh headquarters. There are no tuition fees, emphasizing the integration of theoretical education with practical application to prepare specialists for the traditional arts sector as a sustainable cultural and economic resource.
Through this initiative, Wrth reinforces its role in highlighting Saudi identity and preserving traditional crafts. It invites interested individuals to register and review program details, with studies commencing at the start of the new academic year.
