Riyadh: Riyadh Region Mayor Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf met with Moscow Government Minister Sergey Cheryomin to discuss the development of cooperative relations between Riyadh and Moscow. The meeting was held at Prince Faisal's office and included discussions on setting priorities for future partnerships and forming a working group to facilitate expertise exchange between specialists from both cities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the dialogue emphasized Moscow's advancements in digital transformation and smart city initiatives, such as the Moscow Digital Twin project. The discussions also focused on collaboration in urban management and data technologies, aiming to enhance both cities' capabilities in these areas.
The officials also explored Moscow's experience in hosting significant international events, notably the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This exchange of insights is particularly relevant as Saudi Arabia prepares to host the 2034 edition of the tournament. Further talks included enhancing mutual participation in joint events and initiatives, fostering a robust relationship between the two cities.
