Riyadh: The Qatar export office in Saudi Arabia was inaugurated on Tuesday, establishing its headquarters in Riyadh. The office aims to expand Qatari exports, facilitate the entry of Qatari products and services into the Saudi market, and strengthen economic cooperation and partnership between the two brotherly countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Qatari Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah emphasized that the opening of Qatar's export office in the Kingdom underscores the strength and depth of relations between the two countries across various fields, particularly in the economic domain.
He highlighted the strategic commitment of both countries to strengthening ties and partnerships in all areas, as well as their dedication to enhancing trade cooperation and integration in key sectors.
Al Attiyah said, "The official establishment of the office follows in-depth discussions and a comprehensive study of the Saudi market, offers abundant opportunities across diverse sectors, and is a primary focus for the global business community." He noted that having the office in Riyadh enhances access to the promising opportunities provided by the Saudi market for Qatari companies.
He also said that the office will encourage and motivate the private sector in both countries to bolster bilateral relations, exchange expertise, and develop plans and programs to capitalize on investment prospects and turn them into concrete partnerships.
Furthermore, Al Attiyah underscored the notable economic transformation underway in the Kingdom, as part of the Saudi Vision 2030, which has cultivated a competitive and appealing business environment, offering investment opportunities and significant achievements for Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
He mentioned that these advancements are particularly evident in environmental conservation, clean and renewable energy, trade policy development, and business environment improvement.
Additionally, he highlighted that Saudi Arabia's progress has enticed major global companies to relocate their headquarters to the Kingdom-a move that has captured the keen interest of the regional business sector.
