Riyadh: Under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, the ninth Saudi Interventional Radiology Society (SIRS) Congress launched yesterday in Riyadh, convening a global assembly of healthcare leaders and specialists for a program that runs through January 17.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event features over 160 local and international speakers from 20 countries, showcasing a scientific program of more than 50 sessions and workshops dedicated to the latest research, technologies, and clinical applications in interventional radiology.
The congress is recognized as one of the region's leading specialized scientific events in interventional radiology. It reflects SIRS's commitment to strengthening the role of this specialty in advancing healthcare, supporting the adoption of modern, non-surgical therapeutic solutions, improving the patient experience, and enhancing the efficiency of medical services.
The event aims to foster global expertise exchange while highlighting how interventional radiology provides safe, effective treatments. These treatments accelerate recovery and empower regional healthcare facilities to deliver advanced care locally, eliminating the need to refer patients outside their regions.
