The Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF) 2024 has launched a Global Selection list for its fourth edition featuring 12 carefully selected films, which have been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike due to their artistic quality and powerful narratives, to be screened at the festival from December 5 to 14. The films, selected by the festival team over the past months, seek to promote dialogue and understanding between different audiences through the universal language of cinema. It celebrates emerging filmmakers and unique perspectives, draws attention to innovative narrative techniques and new stories, and encourages the exploration of underrepresented themes and voices in cinema. According to Director of International Programming for RedSeaIFF Kaleem Aftab, this year's selections demonstrate a commitment to showcasing diverse voices and perspectives during the festival. These films explore a variety of human themes, ranging from contemporary social issues to relationships and the search for meaning in an increasingly complex and chaotic world.
