Mawhiba Launches Phase Two of Ibdaa 2025 Olympiad

The second phase of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa 2025) has begun in its 15th edition, targeting middle and high school students across the Kingdom in an event organized through a strategic partnership between King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education. This year's edition, Ibdaa 2025, has set a new local record with 291,057 registered students from 49 education departments across the Kingdom, surpassing last year's record of 210,448 participants in Ibdaa 2024. Participants in the Olympiad engage in the Kingdom's largest and most prestigious student research competition, which spans a full year and culminates in the Ibdaa national awards, followed by international participation, including representing Saudi Arabia at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, ISEF 2025, and other relevant global competitions. The National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity aims to foster a spirit of creativity am ong students in scientific and technological fields, discover and nurture students' talents, and develop their skills and abilities in research and innovation, representing the Kingdom internationally with distinguished projects.
