Ramadan Lanterns Program Promotes Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Al-Jouf

Al-jouf: Al-Jouf Club for the Disabled has launched the Ramadan Lanterns program during the holy month of Ramadan as part of its policy to promote the integration of persons with disabilities into the community, strengthening the presence of the club's players and their families in social occasions, and highlighting the talents of young male and female athletes practicing disability sports.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program aims to activate celebrations of national occasions and organize events that include hosting players for iftar through a social initiative led by businesswomen and chefs in the region. It also includes organizing daily gatherings that bring together the club's players and community members, as well as dedicated sessions to showcase the players' skills and achievements.

Chairman of the club's board of directors, Hammoud Al-Shammari, explained that the program had been planned before the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to make good use of the players' time and design programs that suit their needs while also achieving a positive impact on community integration. He noted that with the launch of the program on the first nights of Ramadan, Founding Day celebrations were activated, along with the organization of the annual iftar initiative and a gathering that brought together the club's female players with women from the community and businesswomen.

Al-Shammari added that the program's activities have had a positive impact on the players and their families, resulting in noticeable discipline in daily attendance, which confirms the program's positive outcomes for the players. Individual and group games are also organized during the program, such as basketball, tennis, and electronic games, to provide recreation for the players and encourage community participation alongside them.
