Quality of Life Program: Entertainment Sector Achievements Contribute to Realizing Targets of Saudi Vision 2030

CEO of Quality of Life Program Center Khalid Al-Baker has stressed the importance of the entertainment sector, within the Saudi Vision 2030, and commended the leap achieved by the sector with the support of the wise leadership and the management of the General Entertainment Authority, which contributed, within a short period of time, to establishing an integrated and supportive entertainment system in the Kingdom.

Al-Baker said that the promising achievements and figures in the entertainment sector – announced by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Al Al-Sheikh yesterday – play a role in realizing the Saudi Vision 2030 goal of developing and diversifying entertainment opportunities to meet the needs of the population. With more than 120 million visitors, 11,136 licenses for various entertainment activities, and 76,000 days for entertainment events, and other achievements, the sector has contributed to improving the quality of life of citizens and residents in the Kingdom, and attracting visitors and tourists from across of the world.

Al-Baker praised the efforts led by the General Entertainment Authority, which include the establishment of the legislative structure, automation and licensing, support and empowerment of the private sector, and attracting distinguished entertainment activities and events, which have all reflected on the national economy where local companies were established to work in the sector, jobs were created, and the economic impact of the entertainment industry was maximized in order to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
