Qassim: Upon directives from Qassim Governor Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, an introductory workshop for the Health in All Policies (HiAP) Ministerial Committee was held yesterday. The event saw the participation of representatives from various government agencies across the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Nouf Alnumair, the Secretary-General of the HiAP Ministerial Committee, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the concept of HiAP. She outlined the objectives of the initiative, which include raising the average healthy life expectancy by incorporating the health dimension into all relevant sectors. Dr. Alnumair emphasized the importance of activating the principle of partnership and the integration of roles among government agencies to achieve sustainable development.
Qassim is the pioneer region in the Kingdom to host such a workshop, marking a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health and the HiAP Ministerial Committee General Secretariat. This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance integration and unify work among government sectors with the aim of achieving the health and quality of life goals set out in Saudi Vision 2030.
