Riyadh: The Hajj and Umrah Prosecution has concluded its investigations into two residents accused of publishing misleading advertisements promoting fake Hajj campaigns and offering irregular services.
According to Saudi Press Agency, following their arrest and referral to the competent court on a general criminal case, the court sentenced both suspects to one year and four months in prison, imposed various fines, and ordered the confiscation of all equipment used in the crime.
The Public Prosecution reiterated its firm stance on pursuing criminal action against anyone who attempts to exploit the sacred rituals of Hajj or jeopardize the security of the pilgrimage and the safety of pilgrims. It also urged the public to strictly comply with Hajj regulations and to avoid engaging with misleading advertisements or unauthorized entities.
