Riyadh: Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, has inaugurated the sixth edition of the 'Talal: A History Read by Generations' exhibition at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The event, which coincides with the International Day of Charity, aims to highlight the humanitarian and charitable contributions of the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition was opened in collaboration with Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed Hegab, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. In his speech, Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the exhibition's role in preserving and promoting humanitarian work across generations. He noted that Alexandria held significant importance in Prince Talal's life, reflecting his dedication to humanity, development, and Arab causes.
The exhibition includes documentary screenings on Prince Talal's life and a retrospective of previous editions of the exhibition. It spans 11 pavilions that detail key moments from his life, including his upbringing, a six-decade-long developmental journey, and his role in establishing 20 institutions across various Arab nations. A dedicated pavilion explores Prince Talal's intellectual and cultural connections with Egypt, particularly his ties to Alexandria and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The exhibition is open to the public today and tomorrow at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center and includes cultural activities such as seminars on Prince Talal's vision for education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
