Riyadh: President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari announced today the launch of GCA's digital strategy for 2025-2027 during his participation in the Saudi Digital Exhibition at the LEAP 2025 International Technology Conference in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this strategy builds on GCA's ongoing efforts in technological development and digital transformation. Through these initiatives, GCA has successfully enhanced its institutional and digital capabilities, enabling it to carry out its core role in public sector auditing more efficiently and effectively.
Dr. Alangari emphasized that the digital strategy is a key component of GCA's broader institutional strategy, reflecting GCA's commitment to aligning institutional goals with digital advancements while pursuing a vision centered on smart digital solutions. The ultimate aim is to achieve institutional and digital excellence, enhancing efficiency and innovation while contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
He further stated that GCA's digital strategy seeks to improve operational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making in auditing processes, and strengthen compliance with digital standards. It aims to drive a comprehensive transformation across all operations, foster the development of innovative digital solutions, and enhance customer experiences while ensuring the sustainability of digital excellence. As part of this initiative, Dr. Alangari also announced the launch of Shamel 2.0, a smartphone application for digital auditing. The app enables entity heads to seamlessly track audit work and reports, while auditors can complete tasks more efficiently using smart tools tailored to audit requirements.
GCA is also participating in an interactive digital booth within the Digital Saudi exhibition at LEAP 2025, showcasing its achievements in digital excellence through its advanced digital audit system.
