New Agricultural City to Boost Almond Production in Al-Baha

Al-Baha: Al-Baha region, renowned for its diverse agricultural crops, unique terrain, and fertile soil, is poised for further agricultural growth with the signing of a milestone contract to establish an agricultural city dedicated to the cultivation of almonds and other fruits.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture emphasized that existing almond tree plantations in the region cover approximately 670,000 square meters, contributing significantly to the local economy by creating jobs and boosting agricultural trade.

Almond blossoms, a symbol of renewal and life during the winter months, add a unique aesthetic appeal to the region, attracting tourists and visitors. The ministry underscored the strong economic viability of almond cultivation, with each tree yielding an average of 5-6 kilograms per season.

Almonds are considered a valuable and durable commodity, and Al-Baha holds a distinct advantage in almond production within the Kingdom.
