PM follows up plans of developing Giza’s southern area

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has stressed the importance of developing the southern area of Giza city with modern re-planning taking into consideration the urban movement, roads and axes as part of the state development plan.

Madbouli’s statements came during a meeting Monday to follow up the plan of developing Giza’s southern area in the presence of Minister of Housing Assem El Gazzar and state senior officials.

The prime minister approved a number of proposals to ease traffic in Giza with the aim of facilitating the movement of citizens and goods.

Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said the plan of developing Giza’s southern zone aims at raising the value of lands and making use of areas overlooking the Nile river.

He said the development plans also include making use of investment opportunities on the Upper Egypt road.
