Paris conf. for supporting Sudan kicks off with participation of Sisi, Macron, Burhan

The Paris Conference to Support the Transition in Sudan was launched on Monday with the participation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and Head of the Sudan Transitional Council Abdel Fattah Burhan.

Sisi is scheduled to focus at the one-day conference on the importance of rallying international efforts to support Sudan in such watershed stage.

He will also review the ongoing Egyptian efforts at the economic, political and security levels.

The conference will also concentrate on scheduling Sudan’s debts.

Egypt has previously announced backing an international initiative for settling Sudanese debts.
