PM, Egyptian Parliament Speaker talk cooperation

Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh on Wednesday received Egyptian Parliament Speaker, Hanafi Jabali, and the accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting the Kingdom. During the meeting, Khasawneh and Jabali affirmed the “deep-rooted, brotherly” Jordanian-Egyptian relations, which receive attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Khasawneh drew attention to Jordan’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation to serve common interests. The PM also affirmed aspiration to hold joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee in Amman soon to advance process of bilateral cooperation in all fields. Khasawneh stressed importance of strengthening joint parliamentary cooperation , which would have a “clear” impact on strengthening the two countries’ brotherly relations, as well as serving Arab issues and their common positions towards various regional and international challenges. For his part, Jabali lauded “close, brotherly” bilateral relations and his keenness to strengthen ties in various fields, especially in parliamentary areas, pointing to his “fruitful” meetings held with Jordanian officials. Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Wajih Azaiza, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, Ibrahim Jazi, and First Deputy Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Khalayleh, attended the meeting.
