Makkah: Pilgrims performing Tawaf al-Ifadah at the Grand Mosque today, one of the central pillars of Hajj, will also perform the farewell ritual at the Grand Mosque. This follows their spiritual journey of standing on Mount Arafat, spending the night in Muzdalifah, and stoning the Jamarat al-Aqaba in Mina.
According to Saudi Press Agency, since the early morning hours, a large number of pilgrims have arrived at the Grand Mosque to perform the rituals in an atmosphere of faith, filled with reverence and tranquility. An integrated service system provided by the relevant authorities facilitated the performance of rituals with ease and convenience, following precise organization and well-thought-out operational plans.
The General Presidency for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in coordination with relevant authorities, organized the movement of crowds inside the Mataf area and the paths designated for Tawaf. They intensified cleaning and sterilization work, provided guidance and counseling services in multiple languages, and ensured ambulance and emergency services were available around the clock.
After completing the Tawaf al-Ifadah, pilgrims continue their Hajj rituals in Mina during the Days of Tashreeq, where they throw stones at the three Jamarat. They then conclude their Hajj with the Farewell Tawaf before departing Makkah, praying for acceptance and ease.
