Pilgrims Continue Arriving at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Airport for Hajj

Jeddah: Amid an integrated system of services, pilgrims continue to arrive at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in preparation for performing the Hajj rituals for the year 1445 AH. The preparations and the integrated services system put in place have contributed to facilitating the procedures for receiving pilgrims and transferring them to Makkah in record time, thanks to the special attention the Kingdom's leadership pays to serving pilgrims. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) toured the arrival lounges at the King Abdulaziz International Airport to document the continued arrival of pilgrim flights and the services and facilities provided by the relevant authorities upon their arrival. Pilgrims are received through the three lounges of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah: Terminal 1, the North Terminal, and the Hajj and Umrah lounge complex. The Jeddah Airports Company -- which operates the King Abdulaziz International Airport in cooperation with the governmental, security, and opera tional authorities concerned with serving pilgrims -- is harnessing all capabilities and equipment and providing a set of integrated services, as the joint operations room works to manage all operations inside the airport, including pilgrims' passport procedures through more than 411 passport control platforms, 440 baggage registration platforms, 56 loading bridges, 54 customs inspection devices, 29 baggage conveyor belts, 28 bus gates, and four health centers. The Jeddah Airports Company also said that the number of employees at King Abdulaziz International Airport will reach 16,000 at peak time from various governmental sectors, adding that all workers are committed to serving pilgrims and enabling them to perform their Hajj rites in a complete atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
