Palestine Hails 3 European Countries’ Recognition of Statehood

Jerusalem, Palestinian officials welcomed today the decision by Norway, Spain, and Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine on the 1967 borders. A statement from the Palestinian presidency called the recognition a "consecration of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination." It urged the international community to follow suit and called for "urgent international protection for Palestinians in light of the genocide they are being subjected to."
