Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform

Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's (SCBC) Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has unveiled 36 projects concerning economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 16 government agencies, SCBC is inviting feedback from the general public, government bodies, and the private sector on these projects prior to their final approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the prominent projects on the platform is the 'National Framework for Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Incident Response.' This initiative, launched by the National Cybersecurity Authority, seeks to establish national regulatory requirements for information sharing and provide a framework for addressing cybersecurity incidents. The platform is open for public feedback on this project until July 10, 2026.

Another significant project is the 'Technical Regulations for Energy Efficiency Requirements in the Utilities Sector for the Second Cycle (2026-2030),' spearheaded by the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center. This project is aimed at defining technical energy efficiency standards for the utilities sector, along with mechanisms for implementation, monitoring, and compliance verification. Feedback will be accepted until July 24, 2026.

The Ministry of Sport has also introduced a project titled 'Sport Academic Regulation' on the Istitlaa platform. This project focuses on the organization of sport academies, the development of athletic talent, and the protection of beneficiaries. The deadline for public consultation on this project is July 25, 2026.

The launch of these draft regulations and similar initiatives via the Istitlaa platform underscores a commitment to increased transparency within the legislative framework. Istitlaa encourages public participation by inviting citizens, government agencies, and private sector entities to provide their insights and feedback on proposed regulations impacting the business environment.
