Islamabad: Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir received Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi at the General Headquarters during his official visit to Islamabad. During the meeting, they reviewed the IMCTC's mission, strategic objectives, and comprehensive approach to combating terrorism, which integrates four key domains: intellectual, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military. According to Saudi Press Agency, the Pakistani army chief was briefed on the "Reintegration" initiative, an intellectual rehabilitation and social reintegration program launched by the coalition in Islamabad to address the root causes of extremism. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of specialists and practitioners involved in such programs. The two sides also explored ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination between the IMCTC and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This collaboration seeks to contribute to international efforts to combat terrorism by targeting its intellectual and financial sources, strengthening national capacity, and facilitating the exchange of expertise.
