HRH Crown Prince Chairs Saudi Cabinet Session in Riyadh

Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, led the Cabinet session in Riyadh today. During this meeting, the Cabinet reviewed ongoing discussions and consultations between Saudi Arabia and its ally countries regarding the latest regional and international developments. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom's unwavering positions on these issues and its support for resolving disputes through dialogue, aiming to enhance security and stability in the region and globally.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet highlighted a statement from the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Arab, and Islamic countries condemning Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire. These actions are seen as detrimental to international efforts to solidify the truce, establish stability, and progress the peace plan's second phase toward achieving a just and lasting peace for the Palestinian people.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary revealed that the Cabinet praised the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces for reaching a ceasefire agreement, with support from Saudi Arabia and the United States. This agreement is expected to aid Syria's path towards peace and national unity, fulfilling the aspirations of its people.

The Cabinet also evaluated the outcomes of meetings and conferences hosted by the Kingdom, including the Green Middle East Initiative. The initiative welcomed new members, expanding to 35 participating countries, and reaffirmed commitments to its objectives, such as planting over 22 billion trees to address environmental challenges.

The Cabinet commended the International Conference on Data and AI Capacity Building in Riyadh, which launched initiatives across various sectors and saw the signing of 27 agreements to bolster international academic partnerships and technology localization. Similarly, the Real Estate Future Forum resulted in 80 agreements to strengthen the sector's developmental role.

Further, the Cabinet praised the Saudi Media Forum, emphasizing its strategic agreements and initiatives reflecting the Kingdom's media sector advancements. The forum reinforced Riyadh's status as a global innovation hub.

In reviewing government sector achievements, the Cabinet examined the National Privatization Strategy, aimed at diversifying the economy and enhancing the private sector's role in development. The strategy is expected to create new opportunities and improve the Kingdom's investment appeal.

The Cabinet lauded projects in Makkah and Jeddah industrial cities, supporting localization and economic development. Additionally, it addressed other agenda items and issued several decisions, including agreements with Cyprus, Brazil, Harvard University, Finland, and others, spanning cooperation in culture, justice, transportation, research, and security sectors.
