Jeddah: Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha met with Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine Ambassador Hadi Shibli, who provided an update on the escalating situation in Palestine. He outlined the deepening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the ongoing violations and crimes committed by Israeli forces in the West Bank, the provocative rhetoric and incitement by Israeli ministers and officials, as well as ongoing discussions about the annexation of the West Bank and claims of Israeli sovereignty over the territory.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Taha reaffirmed the OIC's unwavering commitment to advocating for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, securing international protection for the Palestinian people, and mobilizing international support for a two-state solution in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
