New York: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is actively participating in a high-level international conference at the United Nations focusing on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue. The conference is co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the OIC delegation is led by Ambassador Samir Bakr, the Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Al-Quds Affairs, representing the Secretary General. The delegation includes Ambassador Hamid Obeleiro, the OIC’s Representative to the United Nations, Mr. Adel Salama from the Palestine and Al-Quds Department, and Mr. Jean Iqbal from the OIC’s Mission to the United Nations.
