The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the agreement to extend the ceasefire for five days reached by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during the Jeddah talks.
The OIC secretary-general expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for arriving at a permanent ceasefire and ending the armed conflict in Sudan, and commended the great efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia and US to have the two parties reach this agreement
