NWC Unveils SAR400 Million Sanitation Projects in Northern Borders Region

Arar: The National Water Company (NWC), through its Northern Cluster, has started the implementation of two sanitation projects in Northern Borders Region at a total cost of over SAR400 million.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the company announced that the two projects include the construction of a tertiary wastewater treatment plant in Arar with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day, and a lifting station with a capacity of 72,000 cubic meters per day, with a combined value exceeding SAR341 million. Additionally, the projects involve the construction of over 74 kilometers of sewage lines and networks in Rafha Governorate, along with a lifting station with a capacity of more than 22,000 cubic meters per day, totaling over SAR59 million.

The NWC underscored that these projects are integral to its goals and strategies, which focus on expanding water and environmental services to meet the growing demand, while also enhancing the quality of life and services for the population, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
