Riyadh: The North-Western sector of the National Water Company (NWC) said it has started implementing nine water and environmental projects in different locations in Madinah Region, at a cost of about SAR500 million, in order to increase coverage, increase operational efficiency and improve customer service. According to NWC, one of its projects entails providing drinking water to beneficiaries in some districts of Madinah by laying water supply pipes. The company also works on a project that will help preclude environmental damage in the southern districts of Madinah, which entails laying the main sewage lines in the districts. NWC said that these projects are carried out in accordance with its plans to improve infrastructure, increase coverage of water and sanitation services, improve their reliability, and boost their operational efficiency.
