Al-kharj: The National Water Company (NWC) announced today the completion of a water network project serving 10 districts in Al-Kharj Governorate, south of Riyadh Region. This initiative is part of NWC's ongoing efforts to enhance the water and sanitation services sectors' infrastructure and increase coverage rates.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project, which cost more than SAR13 million, included implementing water networks totaling over 19 kilometers in length to deliver drinking water to more than 14,000 beneficiaries. It also aimed to improve operational efficiency in the daily distribution system across several districts of Al-Kharj Governorate, namely Al-Ghadeer, Al-Hada VI, Al-Zaher, Al-Andalus, Al-Faisaliah, Al-Rayyan, Al-Muntazah, Al-Nuzha, Al-Rawabi, and Al-Salamiya.
NWC stated it will continue to accelerate the implementation of infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency, upgrade service quality, and keep pace with urban growth and increasing water demand. These efforts align with the objectives of the National Transformation Program (NTP) initiatives, an executive program of Saudi Vision 2030.
