Madinah: In a scene reflecting the highest meanings of dedication and selflessness, paramedics of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Northern Borders Region continue their humanitarian mission throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Emergency calls often arrive during iftar, yet their unwavering priority remains saving lives and serving the community.
According to Saudi Press Agency, along the highways connecting the cities and governorates of the region, as well as within residential neighborhoods and at key locations, paramedics are on duty around the clock, responding to emergency cases.
While families gather for iftar, a paramedic may be rushing to a traffic accident or a critical medical emergency, often postponing their own meal until the patient's condition is stabilized and the situation under control. Paramedics' iftar in the field reflects a bright example of professional commitment, as the meal often takes place inside the ambulance vehicle in an atmosphere characterized by cooperation and team spirit, where the crew shares dates and water while remaining ready for any new report that may arrive through the operations room.
