Riyadh: As part of its efforts to achieve its goals in digital transformation and information technology enablement - aimed at improving operational readiness and enhancing the efficiency of digital services - the National Development Fund (NDF) is collaborating with Google Cloud to accelerate the fund's digital transformation journey and develop its technical environment and cloud infrastructure. According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Google Cloud Summit Saudi Arabia, which took place in Riyadh on Monday with the participation of a distinguished group of experts and specialists in cloud technologies and digital transformation. The partnership comes as part of the NDF's commitment to adopting a 'Cloud First' approach and strengthening its technological readiness by migrating its systems and information-technology infrastructure to Google Cloud services. The move is expected to enhance the flexibility, security, and operational efficiency of its digital platforms, while improving performance and optimizing costs by leveraging Google Cloud's advanced cloud technologies and cloud region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both NDF and Google Cloud. The agreement was signed on behalf of the NDF by chief operating officer Sara Nugali and on behalf of Google Cloud by general manager Bader AlMadi. The agreement aims to strengthen the strategic collaboration between both parties and expand the use of Google Cloud's capabilities in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and advanced digital services. This aligns with the NDF's digital transformation objectives and contributes to supporting the Kingdom's sustainable development journey in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
