Riyadh: The National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) showcased its latest technologies at the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, aimed at enhancing pilgrims' environmental experience and protecting water, air, and soil throughout the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
According to Saudi Press Agency, through its participation, NCEC focused on introducing scientific methods to assess and improve environmental quality while reducing light and noise pollution to enhance visitors' experience of the two holy mosques and holy sites. It also highlighted its personnel's readiness to manage environmental reports and emergencies during the season.
Attendees learned about practical environmental monitoring methods used by inspectors at impactful facilities, while the center demonstrated drones and satellite monitoring for water and soil, ensuring rapid responses through real-time surveillance.
A live demonstration showcased equipment for continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with environmental standards, aiming to mitigate pollution and ensure a peaceful, pollutant-free Hajj experience.
