NCA and Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Issue ‘Cyber Awareness Guide’ for Pilgrims during Hajj Season 1445AH

Riyadh: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has released a "Cyber Awareness Guide" to promote cybersecurity awareness during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. This guide is part of the Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for Hajj Season 1445AH, which the NCA is implementing to improve the cybersecurity readiness of systems and services provided during the Hajj season and to support national efforts in delivering the best services to pilgrims. The guide emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity awareness and its role in reducing cybersecurity risks during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. It covers topics such as social engineering and phishing techniques and provides guidance on how to avoid them. Additionally, it highlights the significance of secure internet browsing, application security, and regular mobile phone backups.
