Riyadh: The National Automotive and Vehicles Academy (NAVA) has entered into a strategic agreement with CEER, the first Saudi automotive company and Saudi-born electric vehicle (EV) brand, to introduce an Intermediate Diploma Program in Automotive Manufacturing Technology. This agreement was formalized during 'Generation Future Day' at the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) held in Riyadh, under the patronage of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the partnership is designed to advance Saudi Arabia's automotive sector and bolster national capabilities in EV manufacturing by training and qualifying 300 Saudi trainees over the coming years. This initiative supports industrial localization, boosts national productivity, and contributes to preparing a new generation of Saudi talent capable of leading the sector, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals for developing competitive national industries.
Managing Director of NAVA Academy, Mohammed Al-Suhaim, emphasized that the agreement represents an extension of the academy's commitment to supporting national industrial transformation. He stated that NAVA is proud to be an active partner in developing the Kingdom's electric vehicle sector. The academy's role is not only to deliver training programs but also to empower Saudi youth to secure high-quality jobs within leading national companies like CEER, thereby enhancing the presence of national talents in modern industries.
Chief Executive of CEER, James DeLuca, remarked that developing national talent is vital for innovation and growth in the Kingdom's automotive industry. As a founding partner of NAVA, CEER is dedicated to equipping Saudi technicians with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead the future of the automotive sector in Saudi Arabia.
