Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast indicating that regions across Saudi Arabia, including Eastern, Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah, will experience hot to extremely hot temperatures on Monday. Gusty winds are expected to stir up dust in these areas, as well as in parts of Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, and Tabuk, severely reducing horizontal visibility, particularly on the coastal road leading to Jazan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, suspended dust particles are likely to impact the western and southwestern parts of the country. The southern regions, including Najran, are expected to see the formation of rainy thunderclouds. Wind patterns over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to westerly winds blowing at speeds of 12-45 km/h in the north and central areas, escalating to 50 km/h in the south. The sea conditions will fluctuate from calm to choppy, with waves reaching up to two meters.
In the Arabian Gulf, wind directions will shift throughout the day. The northern and central parts will experience northwesterly to southwesterly winds, transitioning to southeasterly in the evening, with speeds of 15-30 km/h. The southern region will see southeasterly to northeasterly winds at 10-28 km/h. The sea here is expected to remain calm, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter.
