Riyadh: The National Nutrition Committee held the second meeting of its third session, chaired by Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) CEO Prof. Dr. Hisham Aljadhey and attended by members from both government and private sectors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting took place at SFDA headquarters in Riyadh and featured a review by the committee's general secretariat of a strategic performance report. This report detailed the committee's work, projects, and achievements through the third quarter of 2025.
In addition to evaluating the strategic performance, attendees reviewed the Saudi Healthy Eating Index (SHEI). This scientific tool is used to evaluate and improve dietary habits across the Kingdom. As a scientific advisory body, the committee provides expert recommendations to relevant authorities, playing a role in advancing national nutritional well-being and building a healthier society.
