Jeddah: The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance environmental development and wildlife conservation. This agreement, finalized at the second Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference in Jeddah, directly supports the environmental objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the partnership will focus on several key areas of cooperation. The two organizations will collaborate to develop smart monitoring systems for nature reserves, improve waste management and recycling programs, and enhance digital integration for environmental data.
They will also work together on analyzing environmental samples, rehabilitating habitats using sustainable solutions such as recycled biowaste, and applying circular economy principles to ecosystem management.
The agreement also covers monitoring the marine environment for floodwater impacts, measuring the environmental footprint of their activities to develop emission reduction strategies, and implementing awareness and training programs to support community environmental innovation.
