National Center for Palms and Dates Participates in Saudi-Singapore Forum

The National Center for Palms and Dates participated in the Saudi and Singapore Forum held under the auspices of Ahmed Aiadh, the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Agriculture.

A delegation of producers of dates and their derivatives, fish, and dairy, from the government and private sectors participated in the forum.

Mohammed Al-Nuwairan, CEO of the National Center for Palms and Dates, presented center’s strategy to increase exports of dates and their derivatives.

The strategy seeks to continuously improve agricultural-industrial practices to raise quality and productivity and strengthen international relations, Al-Nuwairan explained.

Al-Nuwairan presented the most prominent statistics on the sector of dates, palms, and their derivatives, stressing that the Kingdom has ranked first globally in date export value.

The forum saw meetings with major food importers in Singapore to discuss aspects of joint cooperation.

The two sides also discussed developing trade exchange between the Kingdom and Singapore in agricultural products, date products, derivatives, and fish and dairy products.
