Jakarta: The Najd Region pavilion drew significant attention at the fifth edition of the Jusoor Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the first region showcased in the exhibition, the pavilion serves as a visual gateway and a rich cultural installation, welcoming guests with authentic Saudi hospitality and vividly reflecting the depth of Saudi heritage and its architectural and visual richness.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the pavilion's design is inspired by traditional Najdi architecture, one of the Kingdom's iconic building styles. It features elements of mud-brick construction, including large towers and intricately adorned facades that captivate visitors with their meticulous craftsmanship.
A large screen at the gate displays documentaries about the Kingdom and its heritage, while a wall of portraits of Saudi leaders symbolizes national unity and visionary leadership. The installation takes visitors to the Kingdom as it appeared in the mid-20th century, with earthy tones, traditional balconies, mud-brick structures, and heritage clothing-all offering an authentic glimpse into the past.
The exhibit demonstrates a thoughtful blend of architectural beauty and cultural messaging, enriching visitors' understanding of Saudi Arabia's deep-rooted national identity.
