Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa received President of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov and his accompanying delegation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Alissa highlighted the center's significant role in advancing Islamic civilization, focusing on addressing misunderstandings and combating negative stereotypes associated with Islam. The discussions emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting a harmonious understanding of Islamic culture and values.
Abdukhalikov, representing the Republic of Uzbekistan, conveyed his country's pride and appreciation for the MWL's efforts within the Islamic community and its esteemed international standing. He also praised Alissa's impactful representation of Muslim peoples during his speech at the inaugural observance of the International Day to Combat Islamophobia at the United Nations headquarters, which was held at the invitation of the General Assembly.
