Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) called on all countries advocating for justice and peace to urgently rescue the Palestinian people and stand with justice and international legitimacy by endorsing the final document of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, sponsored and chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic. The MWL has said that, in light of the catastrophic situation in the Palestinian territories and the continuing violations of an extremist government persisting in its crimes, the situation has become a serious and dangerous threat to the region and the international community, according to successive UN reports.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need to move forward immediately on this path outlined by the two-state solution conference. He affirmed that MWL will work with all its partners from religious, intellectual, and community organizations, particularly global religious leaders, to contribute to pushing for international support for the conference's final document.
Al-Issa affirmed that the final document presented a historic opportunity to end this horrific conflict, implement the two-state solution, and establish a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the region.
