Makkah: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has showcased its initiatives and services aimed at enhancing the efficiency of services for pilgrims. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on improving the quality of life and developing Hajj and Umrah services in collaboration with relevant authorities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the exhibition held in conjunction with the Hajj Media Hub for the year 1446 AH, the ministry expanded its initiatives in the holy sites. This included deploying 22,000 technical, control, and cleaning personnel, as well as establishing 118 ground storage facilities. Additionally, 2,800 units of heavy equipment and machinery were mobilized, along with the distribution of 87,000 waste containers and the installation of 1,235 electric compressor boxes, each capable of holding 10 tons.

There are also 177 shelter halls with a total capacity of 15,300; five laboratories (one main and four mobile units) that process 1,300 samples daily; and 28 municipal service centers in the holy sites, including 22 located in Mina.

The ministry developed a control plan focusing on high-risk and medium-risk health facilities. This included visiting various health and commercial establishments in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah. Moreover, efforts were coordinated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to clarify roles and responsibilities and to establish a field control plan for daily supervision of the facilities throughout the Hajj season.
