Makkah: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail yesterday inspected Holy Makkah Municipality and the holy sites to review the readiness of operational and service plans provided to pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season. The minister's visit aimed to ensure that all necessary preparations and infrastructure enhancements are in place for the upcoming pilgrimage.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister began the tour with a visit to Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road. He reviewed road development works, visual distortion treatment, and urban landscape improvements, which are part of ongoing efforts to enhance services and infrastructure in Makkah. Additionally, he examined several facilities and equipment designed to support municipal work efficiency during the Hajj season.
In the holy sites, the minister visited the municipal volunteer work camp in Mina and inspected operational machinery and equipment in the Jamarat area. He also assessed the readiness of underground storage facilities that support sanitation and field services during the Hajj season.
During a meeting with Holy Makkah Mayor Musad Aldaood and several municipality officials, the minister emphasized the importance of coordination among government entities to ensure a successful Hajj season and improve services for pilgrims.
