Lisbon: A delegation from the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) commenced its visit to Lisbon yesterday for the Web Summit Lisbon 2025, accompanied by several Saudi entrepreneurs aiming for international expansion.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this visit aims to enhance the presence of Saudi entrepreneurs in global markets by immersing them in European innovation ecosystems and fostering international partnerships, in collaboration with the Unicorn Factory Lisboa, which organizes related events and field tours.
On their first day, the delegation visited the Alvalade Innovation District and attended a workshop titled "A World of AI," presented by Google, focusing on artificial intelligence trends for startups. They also participated in dialogue sessions with founders and investors during the "Networking Madness" event, aimed at sharing experiences and exploring opportunities in the European market.
Additionally, the delegation toured the Beato Innovation District, one of Europe's largest innovation centers, learning from Portuguese companies that achieved Unicorn status. This was complemented by specialized sessions on marketing and growth strategies for entering new markets.
Monsha'at emphasized that this visit is a crucial step in enabling Saudi startups to expand internationally and connect with global innovation ecosystems, reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leader in supporting promising ventures.
